CKLW-TV promo 1963
Film made for potential advertisers for Theater 9 program. Kinescoped.
We digitized and uploaded this film from the A/V Geeks Archives. Email us at footage@avgeeks.com if you have questions about the footage and are interested in using it in your project.
II quoted the following comment from Terrence Kovaric posted on this clip.
WOW!!! Quite a trip down memory lane for anyone who grew up in Detroit/Windsor in the 1960's-1980's. Interesting how Channel 9 billed itself as a Detroit station without batting an eye. It's also interesting to see Jerry Booth, who hosted or co/hosted a number of kids and teen shows on CKLW-TV. That included "Jingles in Boofland". Whoever kept this probably didn't realize he was preserving a piece of history and not just local TV history. Thanks for sharing this.
