En 1977, un film à très petit budget prenait l’affiche. Personne ne prédisait à ce dernier un centième du succès qu’il a fini par connaître. Smokey and the Bandit (Cours après moi shérif en version française) allait fracasser des records et terminer deuxième au box-office cette année-là derrière un certain film de science-fiction nommé Star Wars.

Although the Firebirds used for production looked like 1977 models, with their four headlights and snowflake wheels, they were actually redressed 1976 Trans Ams. And if you look closely, you can spot the T/A riding on Honeycomb wheels, which were available from 1971-1976. It happens more than once, but they’re easiest to spot when the Bandit is waiting for Snowman at the Welcome to Texarkana sign.
