Deep sea fishing into old children's shows produced by Radcan from the 50s, I finally realized who Pierre Houde reminds me of the most -- Bobino. Just like Bobino, Houde often sounds like he's talking to kids, using the same type of simple, sympathique and welcoming lingo.
All of it very charming and reminiscent of the type of classy demeanor of days gone by, featuring grammatically correct diction and pronunciation.
